NY Farm to School Steering Committee: This task force works to improve the diet choices of children in K-12 schools, while strengthening local agriculture and food systems. The task force provides workshops and exhibits at the state conference, regional seminars, and chapter meetings and works primarily with K-12 schools, to increase NY farm products on school menus, and inform children, their families and the

NY Farms! is a nonprofit coalition of organizations, agencies, farms, businesses and individuals. NY Farms! promotes farming in New York State through campaigns such as Buy NY! NY Farms! builds partnerships among food service providers, nutritionists, Extension educators, and agricultural organizations; works with the NYS Departments of Agriculture and Markets and of Education to implement legislation for the NY State Farm-School Program; helps school food service providers, farmers, processors, and distributors add NY farm products to school menus, in a manner that is economically viable for all parties. NY Harvest for NY Kids is a week-long celebration that occurs each fall, when children, schools, and families are encouraged to purchase, eat and learn about local foods and agriculture. Schools Come to the Farm: A Farm Guide for Giving Tours.
